Gentle and/or manual adjustments of the spine based on the your comfort levels that unlock the joint that is restricted. Gentle adjustments are done via the arthrostim instrument which gently stimulates and nudges the joint without any "popping" sounds. It is a safe and effective method for those with severe pain, osteoporosis/osteopenia, severe athritis, or those who are just apprehensive about adjusting. Manual adjustments done by us are specific and controlled. In other words, we will locate the restriction and adjust the joint. No aggressive approach or gross manipulations will be done.
Low Level Laser Therapy:
Also known as cold laser therapy, this treatment is designed to reduce pain and inflammation intially as well as induce healing and repair of the injured area all while being non-invasive. There is no burning or pain with this procedure and is usually done by itself or in conjunction with other therapies depending on where you are in the healing process. Our laser has multiple settings that can be used to deliver laser energy at different depths.
Manual Muscle Therapy:
Targeted muscle work including soft and deep tissue myofascial release, nerve release, and trigger point therapy used to reduce spasm and tension as well as release "knots" throughout the body. Done in conjunction with chiropractic and rehabilitation, this method is extremely effective in promoting bloodflow and improving your mobility in a short period of time. Of course, it is always done within your comfort level since any pain or guarding by you can hinder the process.
Medical and Laboratory
The most critical step in the healing process is the rehabilitation of the injured area from start to finish. A correct diagnosis with the correct treatment is only as good as the rehabilitative measures taken in conjunction with treatment. We start our rehab from day one with in-clinic work as well as homework. This ensures initiation and continuation of healing of the injured and affected areas. The rehab usually does not require a gym and is based on your level of fitness and comfort. We also start with basic work with a few exercises to avoid confusion or pain. You must be willing to participate in your own rehab work to get the maximum benefit.
